Taxi Licences and Private Hire Cars - A Public Consultation
Following requests from sections of the Taxi Trade to limit the number of taxis in the City, the Licensing Committee, at its meeting on 6th March, 2008, agreed to consult with those persons and groups who have an interest in the provision of taxi and private hire car services in the City of Dundee.
The consultation is not restricted to whether or not there should be a limit on the number of taxis, but also includes the types of vehicles licensed as taxis.
You can participate in this exercise by completing the questionnaire (61KB MS Word doc). Before completing the questionnaire you should read the summary (35KB MS Word doc) of a draft report (71KB MS Word doc) submitted to the Taxi Liaison Group which outlines the main issues. A copy of the draft report is also available.
Responses should be returned to the Licensing Office at 18 City Square (or any Council office) by Friday 1st August. Alternatively you can send your responses by email to elsie.burnett@dundeecity.gov.uk.
