Many of the items of furniture and electrical items which we discard from households and offices are in good working order – over 30,000 items of re-usable furniture are sent to landfill in the UK every day.

It is important that we reuse these items where possible or recycle them if they are not fit for reuse.

Unwanted household and office furniture can be donated to the following furniture reuse organisations in Dundee:

Transform Furniture

Furniture will be made available to low income households in Dundee including people moving on from temporary homeless accommodation. In addition the project aims to provide employment for people who have been long term unemployed.

Furniture that is not suitable for reuse can be taken to your local Recycling Centre. Alternatively you can contact Special Collections on 01382 432750 between 9.00am and 430 pm, Monday to Friday to arrange an uplift.
