Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) - Commercial
The Background
The European directive for the disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (W.E.E.E.) sets out measures that aim firstly at the prevention of waste from electrical and electronic equipment; secondly at the re-use or recycling of such waste; and thirdly at minimising the impact to the environment associated with the disposal of such goods.
This legislation on the disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment was implemented in 2007. All businesses now need to address how they will dispose of all electrical and electronic waste products.
At Dundee City Council, we can provide a computer recycling service to assist commercial and industrial companies across the city to comply with the W.E.E.E. Regulations. Failure to comply could result in businesses receiving unlimited fines.
Our complete recycling and disposal service will give all our customers a flexible, secure, confidential and environmentally friendly method of disposing of such waste.
For further information on this service, please contact our Waste Management Trade Team on 01382 432701, or the Sales Officer direct on 01382 432781.
