The Youth Justice Group is a forum consisting of representatives of all agencies involved in activity relevant to tackling youth crime. The group acts as a focal point for inter-agency development, innovation, information sharing and monitoring relating to youth crime.
The Group has been in existence since August 1999. The Group's functions are supported by the Youth Justice Co-ordinator, a post dedicated to the development of Dundee's youth justice systems and practices. The roles of the Co-ordinator and the Youth Justice Group are seen by the Scottish Executive as key mechanisms to ensure all work to tackle youth crime is co-ordinated across all agencies in every part of Scotland. |
