Coronavirus (COVID-19) content
Local authorities and partner agencies across Scotland - including Dundee City Council - are well-prepared to handle the outbreak of a communicable disease like coronavirus.
You have a vital role to play in helping us contain any outbreak by following the latest health and travel advice. Follow basic hygiene precautions, such as washing your hands frequently, not touching your face and covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. This video provides further hand washing advice.
We should all be trying to reduce social interaction between people in order to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Read more on the NHS Inform website.
A helpline and web portal have been launched to provide lifeline support and supplies to vulnerable people who have been advised to shield themselves against coronavirus, but have no way to access services. The Freephone number 0300 123 1403 is for people in this category in Dundee and is open from Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm.
Testing for coronavirus is available to anyone over the age of five who is showing symptoms – a high temperature, new, continuous cough or loss of taste or smell. Tests can be booked online.
On May 21, the Scottish Government published a route map through and out of the crisis.
