Reporting Abandoned Vehicles[abandoned car]

There is no legal definition of an abandoned vehicle, the Council's Environment Department Officers have the freedom of discretion when making a decision as to whether a vehicle has been abandoned.

The Council trains each officer to a high standard, and some of the following characteristics are used in making a determination if the vehicle is abandoned, these are shown below.

Important Question

If the vehicle is road taxed then we may not be able to uplift, if the tax is about to expire then it may be best to contact us then. If you select Yes we will investigate but as we cannot be sure that the vehicle is not abandoned there may be nothing we can do.

Does the vehicle display a current tax disc?

Please select Yes or No to continue.
