All normal Direct Debit safeguards and guarantees apply and please be assured that this form is managed through a secure network connection and any information which you exchange with us cannot be viewed by any other party.

Any changes in amount, frequency or date will only be made by giving you at least 10 days notice prior to your account being debited. You have the right at any time to cancel this instruction by writing to your Bank / Building Society, with a copy to us. In the event of any error, you can have an immediate refund from your bank/Building Society.

Please check that you have the following information in order to complete this form online:
  • Your Bank / Building Society account number, sort code and address.
    (You can find all these details in your cheque book or bank statement)
  • Your Council Tax account number.
    (This information is on your latest bill, if you have received a Council Tax reminder and the account number is 14 digits long, please enter the first 12 digits only.)
In order to successfully complete the form on-line you must fulfil the following criteria:
  • You are named on the Council Tax bill
  • The paying bank account is in your name
  • You are authorised to instruct a Direct Debit from that account

  • Internal or external Council Departments and other organisations as deemed necessary such as the Department for Work and Pensions, the Inland Revenue, Employers, Pension Providers and any others where appropriate.
