Hours: 0808 801 0301 helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am until 5pm.
AIMS: Amina - Muslim Women's Helpline offers a free and confidential information, advice and listening ear service in the caller's first language 365 days a year. We can help with many issues such as benefits, domestic abuse, leisure opportunities, racial harassment, forced marriage, health and many more issues.

OTHER INFO: Amina the Muslim Women's Resource Centre in Dundee has various projects aimed at primarily Muslim women along with other BME women. The helpline project is Scotland wide; we offer faith and culturally sensitive advice information and a listening ear in the callers first language. The helpline is confidential, non-judgemental, free phone number and the number will not appear on your bill. Opening hours are Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm.

We also have a Scotland wife Violence Against Women project offering face to face advice and information along with support to women experiencing violence. In addition to providing faith and culturally sensitive training to mainstream services and voluntary organisations. Lastly our befriending project provides companionship and support to socially isolated Muslim and BME women. We have lots of volunteering opportunities within all the projects.

What They Do:
Volunteers are involved with many aspects of the helpline work. Volunteers are trained to answer and respond to helpline calls and emails, fundraise, assist development workers to undertake development work across Scotland.

We only recruit women aged 16 years and above.
