Hours: Tuesdays, 7pm - 9pm (During term time).
AIMS: To promote and encourage the enjoyment, study, practice and development, by young people, of traditional Scottish music and the music of kindred cultures. To provide an opportunity for young people to experience the fun of playing traditional music within a group. The group gives occasional public performances as a means of raising funds both for itself and for other organisations, at the discretion of the committee.

OTHER INFO: Prospective members are welcome to come along to the Eastern Primary on Tuesday evenings at 7pm. New members will normally have received a minimum of about two years' instrumental tuition. Although the fiddle is the main instrument, other compatible instruments may be considered.

What They Do:
The Tayside Young Fiddlers is run by a committee, drawn from the parents of members, who assist with the administration of the group and with supervision, transport to events etc. In addition, the group is assisted by musical co-ordinators who are responsible for the musical development and direction.

The Tayside Young Fiddlers is affiliated to Youth Scotland which assists and advises on issues such as child protection, health and safety, insurance etc. All volunteers are required to undergo Enhanced Disclosure through the Disclosure Scotland scheme.
