    contraflow on Sunday 14 January for Scottish Water ironwork repair.

Report For Week Commencing Monday 15 January 2018

  • Constable Street (westbound St Roques Lane to Dens Street) and St Roques Lane

    closed for 16 weeks for facilitating development works.

  • Finavon Street (Fintry Road to Fintry Drive) and Fintry Road (Fintry Drive for 35m south)

    Finavon Street will be closed in several sections, one section at a time, for 5 weeks for facilitating works for a new housing development.

  • A85 Riverside Drive

    prohibition of right turn from westbound lane of Riverside Drive into Riverside approach and prohibition of right turn from Riverside Approach in to Riverside Drive for one week for works to the sea wall.  Prohibitions will only be in place when required.

  • Dens Street (Constable Street to Princes Street)

    closed for 33 weeks for hotel development works.

  • Dunsinane Avenue (A923 Coupar Angus Road to Broomhill Road)

    closed for 2 weeks for gas main renewal.  Temporary traffic lights at Broomhill Road.

  • Abertay Street

    temporary traffic lights for 2 weeks for gas main renewal.

  • Loons Road (Gardner Street to Logie Street)

    closed for one week for water main works.  Temporary traffic lights at Loons Road/Gardner Street and Balfield Road closed at Loons Road following Loons Road closure.

  • Graham Street (Graham Wynd to Clepington Road)

    closed southbound for one week for water main renewal.

  • South Union Street (Thomson Avenue to Riverside Esplanade)

    closed southbound and off-peak offside lane closure on Riverside Esplanade (South Crichton Street to South Union Street) for one week for site development enabling works.

  • Earl Grey Place West

    closed for 54 weeks for site development works.

  • Camperdown Street (South Marketgait to Camperdown Street)

    closed from Monday 15 January for 5 days for Fibre City cable work.

  • Clepington Road (at Mains Loan)

    temporary traffic lights for one week for SSE cable connection.

  • Dens Road (at Provost Road)

    off-peak temporary traffic lights on Wednesday 17, Thursday 18 and Friday 26 January for smart meter antenna works.

    closed for up to 2 weeks for gas main installation works.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
