Report For Week Commencing Monday 17 December 2018

  • Dens Street (Constable Street to Princes Street)

    closed for one week for hotel development works.

  • Earl Grey Place West

    closed for 21 weeks for site development works.

  • Trades Lane (junction with Seagate)

    closed for 6 months for development works.

  • Eliza Street

    one way traffic order on Mollison Street and Eliza Street for 3 weeks for building works.

  • Forth Ports Secure Cycle Path

    closed to cyclists for one week for improvement works.

  • Rosebank Street (Constitution Street to Stirling Street)

    lane width and parking restrictions for one week for SSEN sub‑station refurbishment.

  • Hill Street (Strathmartine Road to Bruce Street)

    closed until Friday 21 December for new development service connections.  Re-opens for 2 weeks.  Closes again Monday 7 January 2019 for 6 weeks.

  • Perth Road (at Riverside Place)

    off-peak temporary traffic lights until Monday 17 December for drainage works.

  • A90 Kingsway West (Coupar Angus Road to Buttars Road)

    overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) lane closures until 22 December for lighting works.

  • A90 Myrekirk roundabout

    overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) eastbound lane closure on Wednesday 19 December for barrier repairs.

  • Broughty Ferry Road (at Market Street)

    off-peak temporary traffic lights on Friday 21 December for BT cable repair.

Forthcoming

  • Brook Street (at Gray Street for 20m or thereby eastbound)

    closed consecutively from Monday 7 January 2019 for 5 days for BT duct installation.

  • Arbroath Road (at Old Craigie Road)

    off-peak temporary traffic lights on Wednesday 9 January 2019 for telecoms pole maintenance.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
