Scottish Recovery Walk

For first time in its four-year history the Scottish Recovery Walk will be strolling into Dundee later this month.

On Saturday September 30 the day will begin with Roses in the River memorial, continue with a Recovery Walk through the city centre and end at the Recovery Village and Festival on Magdalen Green.

Featuring the walk itself, speakers, live bands, children’s activities and stalls the walk is backed by Dundee City Council.

Last year more than 2000 people from every area of the country took part and organisers Recovery Walk Scotland hope this year’s will be even bigger.

The first ever Recovery Walk Scotland took place took place on the Forth Road Bridge in 2013 and since then it has gone from strength to strength.

The theme this year is “Love Makes You Family”

Everyone is welcome; people in recovery, friends, families, treatment providers, supporters and next-door neighbours. The Walk and Recovery Festival is an opportunity for everyone to feel and see the benefits that recovery from addiction brings to Scotland.
