IT 4 Work Project has been set up to help jobseekers who have low IT skills, and who have restricted internet access.
The project will engage people on a structured learning programme covering the following:
- Basic computer skills
- Use of internet including Universal Jobmatch and other relevant job websites
- Use of email
- Filling in online forms
- Creating and adapting Word Documents such as CVs and letters
The programme will be adapted to meet the needs of the individual.
The programme will be delivered on a 1:1 or small group basis in various community locations across the city including community centres and local libraries.
Participants must be in receipt of out of work benefits and now everyone on Universal Credit, this may include some people who are in work but receiving the working tax credit element.
We cannot accept anyone who is currently on the Work Programme.
For more information on the project please contact Francisco Santiago by email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01382 435816 (Wednesdays and Fridays, 9.00am to 4.30pm).
