From Monday 31 May 2021, the day-to-day Housing Repairs Service, will fully reopen and we will be able to start taking all new repair requests (update 28 May).
As more coronavirus restrictions ease and the economy restarts in earnest, parking charges in Dundee will return to normal from May 10. The only exception will be the seven West End car parks where charging will resume on September 27 to support local residents who continue to work from home (update 27 Apr)
A phased reopening of the Housing Repairs Service has taken place from 5 April 2021. This has included:
- From Monday 5 April, the service recommenced non-essential external repairs.
- From Monday 26 April, non-essential internal repairs that require a single trade are being accepted. Any repairs that were logged previously and not carried out due to the restrictions are being undertaken and an officer will contact you to arrange. It is anticipated that we will be able to start taking new non-essential internal repair requests towards the end of May 2021. (update Mon 26 Apr)
The following Community Centres will open on May 10:
Ardler Complex, Charleston Community Centre, Douglas Community Centre, Finmill Centre, Hilltown Community Centre and Kirkton Community Centre.
The Menzieshill Community Hub will follow a week later and open on May 17.
The announcement comes alongside a confirmation of reopening of Leisure & Culture Dundee facilities, including libraries, which can be found here (update 23 Apr).
Dundee House customer service delivery commences Monday April 26. This is an appointment-only system for face-to-face enquiries in relation to Council Tax, Council Tax Reduction, Housing Benefit and general inquiries such as housing, Blue Badges, National Entitlement Card, parking, free school meals, clothing grants and disabled parking bays (update 19 Apr)
The special collection bulky waste service returned on a phased basis on Tuesday 30th March. Requests can be made for the uplifts, however residents are reminded that the service is returning on a restricted basis and it may take longer than previously expected to receive a special waste collection.
