It is the responsibility of the local authority in whose area a particular sports ground is located to enforce the safety provisions at that ground. Dundee City Council is responsible for the issue of Sports Ground Safety Certificates at Dundee and Dundee United football grounds. The Building Standards Section is closely involved in the technical assessment of both grounds in association with the Police, Fire Brigade etc.
