Maintenance and Improvements

The council is investing significant resources to ensure all properties meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard, by 2015, and planned maintenance outwith the standard.

£20m will be invested in 2007/8, £18.8m in 2008/9 and £19m in 2009/10, with a total of 4680 tenants benefiting from work over this period.

The Scottish Housing Quality Standard will ensure that all houses achieve an acceptable energy efficiency rating by 2015.

Within this budget there is a commitment of £1.3m towards community care projects in 2007/8, £1.2m in 2008/9 and £1.2m in 2009/10 to assist tenants to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
