I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

There were no declarations of interest.

II DESIGNATED POLICE COMMANDER

There was submitted Agenda Note AN15-2021 advising the Committee that the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act required that a designated Police Commander be appointed for each Local Authority area in Scotland. Chief Superintendent Andrew Todd would shortly retire and the post of Local Police Commander for Tayside would therefore become vacant. The Chief Constable proposed to appoint Chief Superintendent Phil Davison as the Local Commander for Dundee, Perth and Kinross and Angus.

The Committee noted that, in view of the timescales involved, this agenda note was approved by the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services in consultation with the Convener of the Community Safety and Public Protection Committee, Labour Group Spokesperson, Conservative Group Spokesperson, Liberal Democrat Group Spokesperson, the Lord Provost and the Independent Members.

III POLICE SCOTLAND SURVEY - LOCAL POLICE PLAN REVIEW

There was submitted Report No 226-2021 by the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services informing the Committee of a response provided to a recent Police Scotland survey entitled Local Police Plan Review.

The Committee agreed to note the content of the report.

Kevin CORDELL, Convener.
