The Board, having heard from the applicant, a Licensing Standards Officer and the Board's Legal Adviser, agreed to allow the variation to add indoor/outdoor sports, changes to the basement level to incorporate bar and seating area and changes to the ground floor level seating area to the left of the vestibule entrance to incorporate 2 x pool tables, 1 x golf simulator and 1 x electronic dart alley, subject to the conditions that the capacity of the premises be reduced to 279 and that all necessary permissions be granted by Building Control.

The Convener declared an interest in this item by virtue of knowing the applicant and vacated the Chair.  It was agreed that Councillor Smith be appointed as Chair for this item.

 

The Board, having heard from objectors, an agent on behalf of the applicant, a Licensing Standards Officer and the Board's Legal Adviser, agreed to allow the variation to allow club/group meetings during core hours, to allow recorded music during core hours and prior to for the benefit of staff, live performances during core hours Monday to Sunday and gaming during core hours, subject to the conditions that consent for Musical Entertainment within the premises be limited to the following: TV, Juke Box, automatic music playback system during and outwith core hours, Live Performance (maximum two 2 artistes), Vocalists and Karaoke during core hours, but no later than 11pm, and all amplified music and vocals shall be so controlled as to be inaudible within the nearest residential accommodation and also that the operation of the premises under the terms of the variation be reviewed by the Board in four months.

 

II PERSONAL LICENCE - REQUEST FOR REVIEW

 

The Board agreed to a hold personal licence review hearing in respect of Kirsty Gauld.
