III GENERAL BUSINESS

(a) APPOINTMENTS - OUTSIDE BODIES

(i) Dundee Partnership - Child Poverty and Inequalities Strategic Leadership Group (two positions)

The Council agreed to note that the positions would be filled in due course by one member of the Administration and one member of the Major Opposition.

(ii) Dundee Partnership - Inclusive Economic Growth Strategic Leadership Group (two positions)

The Council agreed to note that the positions would be filled in due course by one member of the Administration and one member of the Major Opposition.

(iii) Dundee Partnership - Climate Change/Net Zero Strategic Leadership Group (two positions)

The Council agreed to note that the positions would be filled in due course by one member of the Administration and one member of the Major Opposition.

The Council resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

IV APPOINTMENTS - LEISURE & CULTURE DUNDEE BOARD

There was submitted Agenda Note ( AN36-2023) advising that there would shortly be three vacancies on the Board of Trustees of Leisure & Culture Dundee for charity trustees who were neither an elected member nor officials of the Council (Independent Charity Trustees).

Following consideration of expressions of interest, the Nominations Committee of Leisure & Culture Dundee agreed, at its meeting on 8th November, 2023, to recommend to the Council the appointment as Independent Charity Trustees, with effect from the 12th AGM on 29th November, 2023 of:-

Steve Grimmond

Kristofer Bryce

The Council approved accordingly.
