The Riverside Recycling Centre has now reopened following its closure this morning due to flooding,
All priority routes are being salted and ploughed where required by the council's mainline gritting fleet. Secondary routes are initially being salted and ploughed by contracted vehicles. When priority routes are completed mainline gritters will move on to secondary routes and the contracted vehicles will continue onto cul de sacs.
All priority footpaths will be salted and ploughed where required then they will move on to secondary routes.
All schools opened today as normal.
