Short term lets licensing consultation

A LICENSING scheme for all short-term lets in Dundee will be introduced on October 1, in line with recent Scottish Government legislation.

Before it goes live, council chiefs are looking for views on the draft policy statement and proposed additional licensing conditions.

A mandatory licensing scheme for all short-term lets in Scotland was approved earlier this year meaning that new hosts must obtain a licence from the council before they operate as a short-term let.

Existing hosts have until April 1 next year to apply for a licence, and can continue operating whilst their application is being decided.

Details of the proposed scheme in Dundee, along with a link to the consultation can be found at https://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/service-area/neighbourhood-services/communities-safety-and-protection/licensing/dundee-city-councils-short-term-lets-licensing

The consultation closes on September 28.
