Scottish Information Commissioner

The Act will be enforced by the Scottish Information Commissioner. The Scottish Information Commissioner deals only with Scottish public authorities as defined by Section 3 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information Commissioner for England and Wales

Enquiries relating to public authorities in England and Wales, and to UK-wide public authorities such as UK Transplant, are covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and are enforced by the Information Commissioner for England and Wales. Queries under the Data Protection Act 1998, including those relating to Scotland, are dealt with by the Information Commissioner.
