The first review of the Home Owner's Charter was launched at a Civic Reception held on 13th November 2008 to celebrate the Dundee Association of Council House Owners' (DACHO) 21st anniversary.

The Home Owner's Charter and the associated standards were developed in partnership with Dundee City Council and DACHO in order to improve services to owners involved in the delivery of the Housing Department's Capital Programme of Works.

The aims and objectives of the Home Owners Charter set out mutually agreed standards in the delivery of services involving owner occupiers the detail of which can be viewed below.

The Lord Provost noted in his speech that the commitment of continuous improvement in the developmental approach of all the interested parties involved in delivering the Home Owner's Charter commitments has added value to the local communities all over   the city.

DACHO's chairperson, Alex Hall, responded by noting that the very real challenges on their agenda were faced up to by working in partnership with Dundee City Council in the spirit of trust, transparency and accountability and that this has resulted in improved services to owners across the city.
