If you wish to become a Community Councillor in an area where a Community Council exists, you must have a nomination form completed and returned to the Community Council Liaison Officer.
Every local community in Scotland can petition their local authority to establish a Community Council in their area. Petitions to form new Community Councils are welcomed. Petitions should be returned to the Community Council Liaison Officer with at least 20 names of residents named on the electoral register within any agreed Community Council boundary.
Maps showing Community Council boundaries, information on becoming a Community Councillor and how to petition for a new community council can accessed here and can also be viewed and accessed in Community Centres and Libraries across the city.
