I TAYSIDE BUSINESS GATEWAY - ADMISSION TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION SCHEME

 

There was submitted Report No 339-2001 by the Director of Finance relative to the above.

 

The Committee -

 

(1)agreed to Tayside Business Gateway being admitted into the Local Government Pension Scheme administered by Dundee City Council; and

 

(2)agreed to act as financial guarantor for a relevant proportion of any potential liability that may arise as a result of the withdrawal or cessation of Tayside Business Gateway as an admitted body to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

 

II SCOTTISH LOW PAY UNIT

 

Councillor Mackie, seconded by Councillor Wallace moved that no subscription be paid.

 

As an amendment, Councillor Regan, seconded by Councillor Sturrock moved that a subscription of 3,999.53 be paid.

 

On a division, there voted for the motion - Councillors Mackie, Wallace and Scott (3); and for the amendment - Lord Provost Wright, Councillors Regan, de Gernier, Letford, Ward, Shimi, Presswood, Farquhar, Luke, Sturrock, Glen, Grant, Rolfe, Barrie, Richard Beattie, Dawson, Sawers, FitzPatrick, Petrie, Guild, Corrigan, Dave Beattie, Fordyce, Bowes and Borthwick (25) - whereupon the amendment was declared carried.
