The minute of meeting of this Committee of 18th June 2001 was held as read.

I MAJOR PROJECT GRANTS AND SMALL PROJECT GRANTS
The Director of Arts & Heritage submitted Report No. 469-2001 seeking approval to award grants to a range of Arts & Heritage organisations.
The Committee authorised the payment of 400 for grants detailed in the Appendix to the report.
II HERE AND NOW: SCOTTISH ART 1990 - 2001
The Director of Arts & Heritage submitted Report No. 473-2001 informing the Committee about the exhibition and its supporting programme.
The Committee approved the report.
III DUNDEE FESTIVAL OF DANCE 2001 - GRANT
The Director of Arts & Heritage submitted Report No. 495-2001 seeking approval to award a grant to Dundee Dance Partnership towards the cost of programming the Dance Festival from Sunday, 9th September to Sunday, 30th September 2001.
The Committee approved the payment of a grant of 3,000.
IV GRANT SCHEMES AND PAYMENTS TO THIRD PARTIES - SHORT COURTS
The Director of Arts & Heritage submitted Report No. 496-2001 informing the Committee of Short Courses grants during the period April to June 2001.
The Committee noted the payment of 350 for grants as detailed in the report.
The Convener agreed that the undernoted item be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No. 51(3)(b) in view of the time scales involved.
V DUNDEE INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE
The Director of Arts & Heritage submitted Report No. 535-2001 updating the Committee on the position of Dundee Industrial Heritage Limited (DIH).
The Committee noted the current position regarding Dundee Industrial Heritage as outlined in the report and that a further cross-party meeting would be held in September to consider the situation.
