The minute of meeting of this Committee of 13th August, 2001 was held as read.

I REVENUE MONITORING 2001/02

 

There was submitted Report No. 509-2001 by the Director of Finance providing the Committee with an analysis of the 2001/02 Projected Revenue Outurn as at 30th June 2001 monitored against the adjusted 2001/02 Revenue Budget.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(i)note that the overall General Fund 2001/02 Projected Revenue Outurn as at 30th June 2001 shows an overspend of 1,075,000 against the adjusted 2001/02 Revenue Budget;

 

(ii)note that the Housing Revenue Account shows an overspend of 853,000 and that notwithstanding the pressures on this budget, action is being taken by the Director of Housing to redress the situation so that the Housing Revenue Account will not be overspent in the current financial year;

 

(iii)instruct the Director of Finance to take every reasonable action to eliminate the projected overspend referred to in (i) above; and

 

(iv)instruct the Director of Finance, in conjunction with all Chief Officers of the Council to continue to monitor the Council's 2001/2002 Projected Revenue Outurn.
