The minute of meeting of this Committee of 12th March, 2001 was held as read.

I IMPLICATIONS OF MAJOR OPPOSITION GROUP'S REVENUE BUDGET SAVINGS 2001 - 2002

 

On a reference to Article I of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 15th February, 2001 there was submitted Report No. 151-2001 by the Chief Executive and Director of Finance providing detailed explanations as to how the Major Opposition Group's 2001 - 2002 Revenue Budget Savings would be achieved by departments and outlining the likely service implications.

 

The Committee:-

 

(i) Noted the contents of the report.

 

(ii)Approved the funding of the shortfall in savings of 77,990 from the CFCR provision of 150,000 which was included in the 2001 - 2002 Revenue Budget at the Special Policy and Resources Committee on 15th February, 2001.

 

(iii)Noted that the Director of Personnel and Management Services would bring forward reports to the Personnel and Management Services Committee on the employment advertising saving and the saving from a two week delay in filling non-essential posts.

 

(iv)Noted that the Chief Executive would bring forward a report to the Finance Committee in respect of the COSLA membership and levy.

 

(v)Approved the Review of Charges for the Underground Garage as detailed in paragraph 10.4 of the report.

 

(vi)Approved the additional Review of Charges in respect of on-street and off-street parking as detailed in paragraph 10.6 of the report.

 

II COMMUNITY PLAN

 

There was submitted Report No. 156-2001 by the Director of Corporate Planning relative to the above.

 

The Committee approved the draft Community Plan for Dundee and proposed public consultation measures outlined in Section 6.3 of the Report.
