I SUPERANNUATION INVESTMENT SUB-COMMITTEE
The minute of meeting of the Superannuation Investment Sub-Committee of 22nd August, 2001, a copy of which is appended hereto was submitted for information and record purposes.
II CAPITAL MONITORING
After considering Report No.540-2001 by the Director of Finance appraising members on the latest position regarding the Council's expenditure programme for 2001/2002, the Committee noted the contents the Report.
III REVENUE MONITORING
There was submitted Report No.559-2001 by the Director of Finance providing the Committee with an analysis of the 2001 - 2002 Projected Revenue Outturn as at 31 July 2001 monitored against the adjusted 2001/2002 Revenue Budget.
The Committee:-
a.noted that the overall General Fund 2001/02 Projected Revenue Outturn as at 31 July 2001 showed an overspend of 1,063,000 against the adjusted 2001/02 Revenue Budget;
b.noted that the Housing Revenue Account Projected Outturn was in line with the approved 2001/2002 Final Revenue Budget;
c.instructed the Director of Finance to take every reasonable action to eliminate the projected overspend referred to in a. above;
d.instructed the Director of Finance, in conjunction with all Chief Officers of the Council to continue to monitor the Council's 2001/02 Projected Revenue Outturn.
In addition, the Committee remitted to the Chief Executive to write to the Justice Minister and Local Government Minister regarding the inadequate funding arrangements for Secure and Residential Care Schools and the McCrone Teachers' settlement.
IV RELIEF OF RATES - CHARITY RELIEF
There was submitted Report No.558-2001 by the Director of Finance seeking authorisation to grant Charity Relief on the undernoted Non Domestic properties.

V ANNUAL TREASURY MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY 2000/01
There was submitted Report No. 549-2001 by the Director of Finance reviewing the Treasury Management activities for the period 1 April 2000 to 31 March 2001.
The Committee noted the information contained therein.
VI ANGUS DIGITAL MEDIA CENTRE LTD - ADMISSION TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION SCHEME
On a reference to Article I of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 10 June 1996 there was submitted Report No.568-2001 by the Director of Finance intimating that Angus Digital Media Centre Limited had requested admittance to the Local Government Pension Scheme administered by Dundee City Council.
The Committee approved accordingly.
The Convener agreed that the undernoted item be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No.51 (3)(b) in view of the timescales involved.
VII SCOTTISH SOCIAL SERVICES COUNCIL - ADMISSION TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION SCHEME
On a reference to Article I of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 10 June 1996 there was submitted Report No. 604-2001 by the Director of Finance intimating that the Scottish Social Services Council had requested admittance to the Local Government Pension Scheme administered by Dundee City Council.
The Committee approved accordingly.
