I ABERLOUR OUTREACH DUNDEE

 

There was submitted Report No 672-2001 by the Director of Social Work advising the Committee of the development of the Aberlour Outreach Dundee project which would be managed by Aberlour Childcare Trust.

 

The Committee noted and approved the terms of the report.

 

II EMPLOYMENT SERVICES FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE

 

There was submitted Report No 673-2001 by the Director of Social Work advising the Committee of the development of an employment service for Criminal Justice Social Work clients.

 

The Committee approved the terms of the report and authorised the Director of Social Work to commission the employability project from Apex (Scotland).

 

III MINOR CAPITAL WORKS

 

There was submitted Report No 656-2001 by the Director of Social Work seeking authority for the City Architectural Services Officer to obtain offers and tenders and for the Director of Support Services, in conjunction with the Director of Social Work, to accept the most advantageous offers and tenders in respect of Minor Capital and Planned Maintenance Works up to a total cost of 218,000.

 

The Committee agreed that:-

 

(i)the City Architectural Services Officer be authorised to obtain offers and tenders for the Minor Capital and Planned Maintenance Works; and

 

(ii)the Director of Support Services, in conjunction with the Director of Social Work, be authorised to accept the offers and tenders as recommended by the City Architectural Services Officer for these works.

 

It was reported that the Convener had agreed that the undernoted item be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No 51(3)(b) in view of the timescales involved.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the public be excluded for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

IV REGISTRATION OF RESIDENTIAL AND OTHER ESTABLISHMENTS

 

There was submitted Report No 689-2001 by the Director of Support Services detailing an application for a proposed variation to a condition of Registration for a Residential Establishment.

 

The Committee approved the application for variation in condition as detailed.
