The Committee resolved under Section 50(A) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the public and press may be excluded during consideration of the undernoted item on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of information which is exempt in terms of paragraph 1 of Schedule 7A to the Act.
I TEACHER EARLY RETIREMENTS - AUGUST 2002
Councillor Guild declared an interest.
There was submitted Report No 558-2002 by the Director of Education seeking approval of a number of teacher early retirements on the grounds of the efficiency of the service in accordance with the Teachers (Compensation for Premature Retirement and Redundancy) (Scotland) Regulations 1996.
The Committee agreed to the early retirement of teachers as detailed in the appendix to the report, on the grounds of efficiency of the service, with effect from 18th August, 2002, in accordance with the Teachers (Compensation for Premature Retirement and Redundancy) (Scotland) Regulations 1996.
