The minute of meeting of this Committee of 9th December, 2002 was held as read.

I ACQUISITION OF ELECTRIC AND DIESEL GROUND POWER UNITS FOR DUNDEE AIRPORT

 

The Director of Economic Development submitted Report No 16-2003 requesting approval for the acquisition of ground power units for Dundee Airport.

 

The Committee agreed to accept the offers from TT Electronics Division of Houchin Aerospace Limited, Ashford to supply one Houchin C690 Trailer-Mounted Diesel Ground Power Unit and one Houchin Transformer/Rectifier Ground Power Unit at a total cost of 37,629 including delivery, commissioning and training.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

 

II COMMERCIAL LEASES

 

There was submitted and approved Report No 17-2003 by the Director of Economic Development detailing commercial leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-

 

137 Pitkerro Road

Ground Lease, 7 Hebrides Drive

17 Dock Street

Units 21-24 North Wellington Street

Site at James Lindsay Place, Claverhouse Industrial Park

 

III SHOPPING PARADES - UPGRADING

 

There was submitted Agenda Note AN11-2003 in which the Director of Economic Development sought approval for various works at 32-39 Fintry Drive, 29-35 Craigowan Road (4 Units), 479 Balunie Drive (1 Unit) and 54-60A Craigmount Road (4 Units).

 

The Committee authorised the works as detailed.

 

IV MAXWELLTOWN BAPTIST CHURCH, ANN STREET

 

There was submitted Agenda Note AN12-2003 in which the Director of Economic Development reported that the City Council had been approached by Solicitors acting for the Deacons of the above Church who had been obliged to close and disband the Church and were now seeking a Minute of Waiver to facilitate the sale of the Church building and site.

 

The Committee agreed to the provisional agreement reached with the Church on the terms and conditions detailed.
