I TENDERS RECEIVED

There was submitted Report No 33-2004 by the City Engineer detailing offers received in respect of environmental improvements at Happyhillock, Dundee.

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer from Tayside Contracts in the sum of 98,811.05, to which required to be added allowances amounting to 32,985.95, making a total of 131,797.00.

II DURA STREET ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS

There was submitted Agenda Note AN11-2004, advising that proposals had been prepared for carrying out further environmental improvements to the Dura Street corridor and junction alterations at Eliza Street.

It was reported that funding had now been made available by Scottish Enterprise Tayside and to ensure that these works were completed within the current financial year an offer had been negotiated with Tayside Contracts, who had carried out the original contract as part of the North East/North West Corridor Public Transport Priorities Partnership.

The Committee agreed to accept this offer amounting to 71,092.62 together with allowances of 8,000 for professional fees and 5,907.58 for contingencies, giving an overall expenditure of 85,000, which would be met from a confirmed SET contribution of 80,000 and 5,000 from the North East/North West Arterial Public Transport Fund.

FIONA GRANT, Convener.
