There was submitted Report No 164-2004 by the Director of Dundee Contract Services informing the Committee of rates submitted by Tyre Suppliers and Tyre Repairers for the supply of same, as and when required during the financial year 2004/2005.

VIII REPAIRS CONTACT CENTRE - TELECOMMUNICATION AND COMPUTER HARDWARE

Reference was made to Article 1 of the Minute of meeting of the DSO Committee of 17th November, 2003, where it was agreed that a Repairs Contact Centre be established.

There was submitted Report No 163-2004 by the Director of Dundee Contract Services seeking approval to purchase appropriate telecommunication and computer hardware for the Repairs Contact Centre.

The Committee authorised the Director of Dundee Contract Services to purchase appropriate telecommunication and computer hardware up to a maximum price of 66,000.

IX DUNDEE LAW - APPLICATION FOR USE

There was submitted Agenda Note AN99-2004 informing the Committee that a request had been received from St David's High Kirk, Dundee for permission to use the area of ground at the top of Dundee Law for an Easter Morning Service on Easter Sunday, 11th April, 2004 at 9.00 am.

The Committee agreed to grant permission for the use of the area subject to the necessary insurances being provided indemnifying the Council against damage to property, injury or loss of life etc to members of the public and in addition any services being provided by the Department being paid for by the applicant.

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(a) of the Act.

X GROUND AT 643, 645, 647 AND 647A ARBROATH ROAD, DUNDEE

There was submitted Agenda Note AN100-2004 advising the Committee that owners of the above properties had offered to purchase an area of ground for additional garden ground.

The Committee approved a provisional agreement by the Director of Economic Development after consultation with the Director of Dundee Contract Services for the sale of the ground on the terms and conditions detailed.
