I ADULT EDUCATION FUND 11 2004/2005

 

There was submitted Report No 499-2004 by the Head of Communities making a recommendation for a grant award from the Adult Education Fund. The grant award would be met from the Department's Revenue Budget 2004/2005.

 

The Committee approved payment of the recommended grant of 1,600 to Harris Education Recreation Association.

 

The Committee noted that the Convener had agreed that the undernoted items be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No 17(b) in view of the timescales involved.

 

II INTERNATIONAL YOUTH WORK FUND 1 2004/2005

 

There was submitted Report No 504-2004 by the Head of Communities making a recommendation for a grant award from the International Youth Work Fund. The grant award would be met from the Department's Revenue Budget 2004/2005.

 

The Committee approved payment of the recommended grant of 1,000 to the 49th Scout Group Dundee (Broughty Ferry).

 

III NON-RECURRING REVENUE GRANTS FUND 11 2004/2005

 

There was submitted Report No 505-2004 by the Head of Communities making a recommendation for a grant award from the Non-Recurring Revenue Grants Fund. The grant award would be met from the Department's Revenue Budget 2004/2005.

 

The Committee approved payment of the recommended grant of 2,500 to the 6th/8th Dundee Boys Brigade.

IV EX-LORD PROVOST TOM MITCHELL

 

Councillor Morrow referred to the recent passing of ex-Lord Provost Tom Mitchell and paid tribute to his service as a Councillor and as Lord Provost for two terms from 1984 to 1992. Members observed a minute's silence.
