III PERTH PRISON VISITING COMMITTEE

Reference was made to Article VIII of the minute of meeting of the City Council of 16th August 2004 wherein it was agreed that Mr David Thom be considered for any future vacancies arising on the Prison Visiting Committees

After considering Agenda Note AN375-2004 reporting that Councillor Webster had resigned from the Perth Prison Visiting Committee it was agreed that Mr Thom be appointed to fill the vacancy.

IV LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION - PROCESS FOR 2007 - LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS USING SINGLETRANSFERABLE VOTES

There was submitted Report No 706-2004 by the Assistant Chief Executive (Community Planning) informing elected members of the process proposed by the Local Government Boundary Commission for establishing new electoral wards for Dundee to accommodate the Single Transferable Voting system to be introduced in the 2007 Local Government Elections and to agree a submission process for the Council.

The Council noted the process and procedures as detailed by the Local Boundary Commission and agreed the establishment of an Advisory Group to the Chief Executive as outlined within Section 11 of the report.

V CHRISTMAS WALK - ALEXANDRIA

There was submitted Agenda Note AN376-2004 reporting that the Lord Provost, his wife and the Council Officer had been invited to attend the Christmas Walk in Alexandria during December 2004.

The Council agreed that the invitations be accepted.
