I AUDIT OF BEST VALUE AND COMMUNITY PLANNING
On a reference to Article VII of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 13th December 2004 there was submitted Agenda Note AN10-2005 setting out arrangements for the above audit.
The Committee noted the undernoted arrangements:
Audit Programme
7 Council Audit Submission Date - 25th February 2005
7 Council Presentation to Audit Scotland to be made during week beginning 28th February 2005
7 The overview audit to begin during the week beginning 7th March 2005
7 The detailed audit to take place during the three week period 21st March 2005 to 8th April 2005. There may be a need for an additional week and this would be the week beginning 22nd April 2005.
7 The draft report to be given to the Council by the end of May 2005
7 The final report to be presented to the Accounts Commission by the end of June 2005
To be Arranged
7 Presentations by Audit Scotland to:-
7 Members (allow 2 hours)
7 Council Management Team (allow 3 hours)
7 Presentations to be made in January 2005
7 Date during the week beginning 28th February 2005 for Council presentation to Audit Scotland
7 Council Intranet access, including access to Council Management Team minutes
7 Temporary accommodation for 4/5 Audit Scotland staff during detailed audit period
7 Date for a tour of the City for Audit Scotland staff (ideally during the first week of the detailed audit, ie during the week beginning 21st March 2005).
II 7TH IRISH AND UK LOCAL AUTHORITIES CONFERENCE ON NUCLEAR HAZARDS
It was reported that the above conference would be held in Drogheda Co. Louth, Ireland on 10th and 11th March 2005.
The Committee authorised the attendance of Councillor Regan at an estimated cost excluding travel and subsistence of 125 per delegate.
