At a MEETING of the CASES SUB-COMMITTEE OF THE SOCIAL WORK COMMITTEE held at Dundee on 19th April, 2005.

The Sub-Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that this would involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the above Act.

I PROPOSALS TO USE DIRECT PAYMENTS TO FUND SERVICE

There was submitted Report No 257-2005 by the Director of Social Work requesting authorisation to change the funding mechanism to purchase care at home services via a direct payment.

The Sub-Committee agreed to the funding of a direct payment to meet the needs of the individual referred to in the report.
