Licensing Sub-committee - 17/10/2005

At a MEETING of the LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE held at Dundee on 17th October, 2005.

Unless marked thus * all items stand delegated.

 

The Sub-Committee resolved, under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that this would involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 3, 6 and 9 of Part 1 of Schedule 7(A) of the above Act.

 

I CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982

 

(a) TAXI OPERATOR'S LICENCE - RENEWAL

 

There was submitted an application by Mr G T for renewal of his Taxi Operator's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter having heard the applicant on his own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be deferred to the next meeting of the Licensing Committee for consideration.

 

(b) TAXI OPERATOR'S AND TAXI DRIVER'S LICENCES - RENEWAL

 

1. There was submitted an application by Mr G F for renewal of his Taxi Operator's and Driver's Licences.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to these applications.

 

Thereafter, the Sub-Committee agreed that consideration of the applications be deferred to the next meeting of the Licensing Committee.

 

(c) TAXI DRIVERS' LICENCES - RENEWALS

 

1. There was submitted an application by Mr R M for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee noted that the applicant was not present and agreed that the application be considered in his absence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be refused.

2. There was submitted an application by Mr P K for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be granted with a warning.

 

3. There was submitted an application by Mr D S for renewal for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, having heard the applicant on his own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be granted until the end of May 2006.

 

4. There was submitted an application by Mr S C for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of objection which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, having heard the applicant on his own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be granted.

 

5. There was submitted an application by Mr A W for renewal of his Taxi Driver's Licence.

 

The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.

 

Thereafter, having heard a representative and the applicant on his own behalf, the Sub-Committee agreed that the application be granted until the end of May 2006.
