I COMMUNITY REGENERATION FUND SMALL GRANTS ALLOCATION 2006/2006
There was submitted Report No 28-2006 by the Assistant Chief Executive (Community Planning) and Director of Leisure and Communities relative to the above.
The Committee noted the process for allocating small grants through the Local Community Regeneration Forums as agreed by the Dundee Partnership and endorsed the funding proposals detailed below:-

II SHELTERED HOUSING SERVICE CHARGE
After considering Agenda Note AN18-2006, the Committee noted that the Sheltered Warden service was currently the subject of an ongoing Best Value Review and agreed that the existing charges remain at their present levels pending the outcome of this review.
III REVENUE BUDGET 2006/07 - HOUSING REVENUE ACCOUNT

V PROHIBITION OF SMOKING IN CERTAIN PLACES (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2006
This item was withdrawn.
VI APPLICATION FOR BETTER NEIGHBOURHOOD SERVICES FUND - ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS PHASE II - HILLTOWN PARK
There was submitted Report No 19-2006 by the Assistant Chief Executive (Community Planning) and Director of Leisure and Communities seeking approval for a funding proposal to be met from the Better Neighbourhood Services Fund, the City Council and the European Regional Development Fund.
The Committee approved the programme of environmental improvements in Hilltown Park that would create a place of specific identity to attract residents and visitors to use the area.
VII CIVIL CONTINGENCIES ACT 2004
There was submitted Report No 27-2006 by the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) advising the Committee of the introduction of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the actions necessary to ensure compliance by the Council.
The Committee remitted to the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to take action to ensure the Council's compliance, it being noted that the cost of compliance should be contained within individual departmental budgets.
