Licensing Sub-committee - 28/06/2006

At a MEETING of the LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE held at Dundee on 28th June, 2006.

Unless marked thus * all items stand delegated.

 

The Sub-Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds this would involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 3, 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

 

I CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982

 

(a) TAXI OPERATOR'S LICENCE

 

There was submitted a letter of information from the Plant and Vehicle Officer relative to the condition of a taxi operated by Mr W O'H.

 

The Sub-Committee, after hearing the Clerk and consideration of the content of the letter, agreed that a suspension hearing be convened in relation to the Taxi Operator's Licence held by Mr W O'H.

 

The Convener agreed that the undernoted items of business be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No 17(b) and in view of the timescales.

 

(b) TAXI DRIVER'S LICENCE

 

The Clerk reported that information had been received about the alleged conduct of three taxi drivers, Mr E H, Mr I S and Mr S McI during the currency of their Taxi Driver's Licences.

 

The Sub-Committee, after hearing the Clerk, agreed that suspension hearings be convened in relation to the Taxi Driver's Licences held by the three licence holders.
