I QUARTERLY PERFORMANCE AND PROJECT MONITORING

There was submitted Report No 722-2006 by the Chief Executive advising the Best Value Sub-Committee on progress with objectives, projects and reviews contained in the Council's strategic plans and on the latest information available on statutory and other key performance indicators which could be meaningfully measured on a quarterly basis.

The Sub-Committee noted the report and discussed the issues raised in the commentary on performance indicators in Section 7, noting that comparisons were made to the figures for the first quarter of this financial year and to the previous financial year. Consideration was given to the indicators where the action could be taken to improve performance. The Sub-Committee concluded that the Council was generally continuing to maintain and improve performance on its key indicators.

The Sub-Committee further noted the exception report on the strategic plan items in Section 12, noting that the same, or similar, actions were included in more than one strategic plan. Both of these issues would be considered when new strategic plans were agreed and added to the database in 2007.
