These types of application were invariably granted by the Committee without any discussion. The delegation would save some Committee time and would allow all applications to be dealt with and identification badges issued between meetings.
Should an applicant have satisfied all requirements within 21 days of lodging the application, a temporary licence could be applied for at a cost of 20 to cover the period up to the 21st day, following which, the full licence would be granted. It was recommended that consideration of this also be delegated to the Clerk in consultation with the Convener.
