I TENDERS RECEIVED BY CITY ENGINEER

 

There was submitted Report No 12-2009 by the City Engineer giving details of offers received for the undernoted contracts:-

 

(a) OLD JANET BROUGHAM HOUSE - DEMOLITION

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest tender from J R Masterton and Son Ltd amounting to 68,345, together with the undernoted allowances:-

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest tender from Dundee Plant Co Ltd amounting to 39,592, corrected after checking to 40,093.55, together with the undernoted allowances:-

II TENDERS RECEIVED - NEW TOILET FACILITIES AND NEW EMERGENCY ESCAPE ROUTE - UNDERGROUND CAR PARK

 

There was submitted Report No 31-2009 by the City Architectural Services Officer giving details of offers received for the above contract.

 

The Committee agreed to accept a negotiated contract with Dundee Contract Services amounting to 128,076, together with allowances of 1,160 for CDM Co-ordinator and 20,518 for professional services, making a total expenditure of 149,754.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

 

III COMMERCIAL LEASES

 

There was submitted and approved Report No 15-2009 by the Director of Economic Development detailing Commercial Leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-

High Street, Dundee

 

IV RENT REVIEWS

 

There was submitted and approved Report No 16-2009 by the Director of Economic Development detailing a rent review in respect of 26 Dryburgh Street.

 

V SALE OF BLOCK 23 KILSPINDIE ROAD, DUNSINANE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

 

There was submitted Report No 17-2009 by the Director of Economic Development seeking approval for the sale of a site extending to 1.28 hectares or thereby at Block 23, Kilspindie Road.

 

The Committee approved the sale in the terms and conditions detailed in the report.

 

VI BANNERS IN MURRAYGATE

 

The Director of Economic Development submitted Agenda Note AN8-2009, informing the Committee that the owner of the Wellgate Shopping Centre had applied for permission to locate banners on lamp posts owned by the City Council within the Murraygate for the period from mid-January 2009 to mid‑October 2009. The banners would advertise the Wellgate Shopping Centre.

 

The Committee approved the request on the terms and conditions detailed in the note.
