The minute of meeting of this Committee of 20th January, 2010 was held as read.

I NEWFIELDS PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY CLASS

 

There was submitted Report No 21-2010 by the Director of Education reporting on the findings of the HMIE Inspection of Newfields Primary School and Nursery Class.

 

The Committee, having questioned the Director of Education and senior management, agreed to:-

 

(i) note the contents of the report; and

 

(ii) instruct the Director of Education to monitor progress towards meeting the areas for improvement contained in the report.

 

II ST JOHNS HIGH SCHOOL

 

There was submitted Report No 170-2010 by the Director of Education reporting on the findings of the HMIE Inspection of St John's High School.

 

The Committee, having questioned the Director of Education and senior management, agreed to:-

 

(i) note the contents of the report; and

 

(ii) instruct the Director of Education to monitor progress towards meeting the areas for improvement contained in the report.

 

III WOODLEA CHILDRENS CENTRE

 

There was submitted Report No 145-2010 by the Director of Education reporting on the findings of the Care Commission inspection of Woodlea Children's Centre.

 

The Committee, having questioned the Director of Education and senior management, agreed to:-

 

(i) note the contents of the report; and

 

(ii) instruct the Director of Education to monitor progress towards meeting the areas for improvement contained in the report.

 

Arising therefrom, it was also agreed that the Council's policies regarding Disclosure Scotland checks be circulated to all members of the Scrutiny Committee.
