The Sub-Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

 

I DEVELOPMENT OF ACCOMMODATION WITH SUPPORT FOR ADULTS WITH A LEARNING DISABILITY

 

There was submitted Report No 583-2009 by the Director of Social Work seeking permission to procure services for seven individuals with learning disabilities which exceeded authorised limits.

 

The Sub-Committee agreed the plans to meet the needs of the seven individuals as outlined in the report and instructed the Director of Social Work to procure accommodation with support for these individuals.

 

II PURCHASE OF NURSING HOME CARE EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS

 

There was submitted Report No 121-2010 by the Director of Social Work requesting authorisation to place one service user in nursing home placement which exceeded agreed authorised limits.

 

The Sub-Committee authorised payment in respect of the care arrangements as outlined in the report.

 

III PURCHASE OF HOME CARE EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS

 

There was submitted Report No 122-2010 by the Director of Social Work requesting authorisation to increase home care services for one service user which exceeded agreed authorised limits.

 

The Sub-Committee authorised payment in respect of the care arrangements as outlined in the report.

 

IV PURCHASE OF HOME CARE EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS

 

There was submitted Report No 123-2010 by the Director of Social Work requesting authorisation to increase home care services for one service user which exceeded agreed authorised limits.

 

The Sub-Committee authorised payment in respect of the care arrangements as outlined in the report.

 

V PURCHASE OF HOME CARE EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS

 

There was submitted Report No 124-2010 by the Director of Social Work requesting authorisation to increase home care services for one service user which exceeded agreed authorised limits.

 

The Sub-Committee authorised payment in respect of the care arrangements as outlined in the report.

 

VI PURCHASE OF HOME CARE EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS

 

There was submitted Report No 125-2010 by the Director of Social Work requesting authorisation to increase home care services for one service user which exceeded agreed authorised limits.

 

The Sub-Committee authorised payment in respect of the care arrangements as outlined in the report.

 

The Convener had agreed that the undernoted item be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No 17(b) in view of the timescales involved.

 

VII PURCHASE OF NURSING HOME CARE EXCEEDING AGREED LIMITS

 

There was submitted Report No 130-2010 by the Director of Social Work requesting authorisation to purchase home care services for one service user which exceeded agreed authorised limits.

 

The Sub-Committee authorised payment in respect of the care arrangement as outlined in the report until alternative care arrangements could be made.
