I HOUSING DEPARTMENT IMPROVEMENT PLAN - PROGRESS

 

There was submitted Report No 219-2011 by the Director of Housing reporting on the progress of the Improvement Plan agreed with the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR).

 

The Committee noted the progress on the implementation of the Improvement Plan up to January 2011 and agreed that, as part of the commitment to Public Performance Reporting, this report be added to the Plans and Performance section of the Council's website.

 

II TENDERS RECEIVED

 

There was submitted Report No 214-2011 by the City Architectural Services Officer detailing tenders received and requesting a decision thereon:-

 

(a) MAGDALENE KIRKTON 1ST DEVELOPMENT - WINDOW REPLACEMENT

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer from Dundee Contract Services, amounting to 47,574.50, corrected after checking to 47,882, together with the undernoted allowance:-

IV CHANGE OF DISPOSAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR TRADERS

 

There was submitted Report No 198-2011 by the Head of Waste Management advising the Committee of a revised method of trade waste recycling/disposal for traders from the current system of disposal at our recycling centres to Baldovie Recycling Plant.

 

The Committee approved modification of the arrangements for the disposal of trader's waste as detailed in the report.

 

V REGISTERED TENANT ORGANISATIONS - ADMINISTRATION GRANTS

 

There was submitted Agenda Note AN64-2011 advising that a request for grant assistance towards administration costs for 2011/2012 had been received from Hindmarsh Tenants' and Residents' Association.

 

The Committee agreed to grant assistance of 280, as requested.
