I HOUSING DEPARTMENT IMPROVEMENT PLAN - PROGRESS REPORT

 

There was submitted Report No 421-2011 by the Director of Housing reporting on progress on the Improvement Plan agreed with the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR).

 

The Committee noted the progress on the implementation of the Improvement Plan up to the end of July 2011 and agreed that, as part of the commitment to Public Performance Reporting, this report be added to the Plans and Performance section of the Council's website.

 

II HOUSING DEPARTMENT ASSET MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

 

There was submitted Report No 412-2011 by the Director of Housing detailing the Housing Department's Asset Management Strategy.

 

The Committee approved the Asset Management Strategy and remitted the Director of Housing to implement and review the strategy as required.

 

III TENDERS RECEIVED

 

There was submitted Report No 406-2011 by the City Architectural Services Officer detailing tenders received and requesting decisions thereon:-

 

(a) CAMPERDOWN 11TH AND 15TH DEVELOPMENTS - HEATING, KITCHENS AND BATHROOMS

 

The Committee agreed to a partnering project with Dundee Contract Services, amounting to 787,000, together with the undernoted allowances:-

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer from Moores Furniture Group Ltd, Wetherby, amounting to 13,509.99, corrected after checking to 14,254.51, together with the undernoted allowances:-

IV EXTENSION TO CONTRACT - INDIVIDUAL HOUSES 2009/2010 - HEATING INSTALLATION, ELECTRICAL UPGRADE, KITCHENS ANDBATHROOMS

 

On a reference to Article III of the minute of meeting of the Housing, Dundee Contract Services and Environment Services Committee of 24th May, 2010, the City Architectural Services Officer submitted Report No 407-2011 requesting approval to extend the existing contract with McGill Electrical Ltd, Dundee, relative to the above.

 

The Committee agreed to extend the existing contract and incur estimated additional expenditure of 715,000, including allowances.

 

V REGISTERED TENANT ORGANISATION

 

There was submitted Agenda Note AN138-2011 reporting that a request for registration as a Registered Tenants' Organisation had been received from the Forthill Tenants' Association.

 

The Committee approved the application.
