The Board, having heard from the applicants on their own behalf and an officer from the Environment Department, agreed to grant the above application, subject to the following conditions:- imposition of the minimum entry charge, when children and young persons are permitted for band nights all adults must have a wristband to distinguish them from children and young persons, on band nights when children and young persons are permitted alcohol will only be sold and consumed in Areas A and C and alcohol not permitted in Area B, on band nights when children and young people are permitted entry SIA security staff must be located at the cordon points to Areas A and C to provide controlled access for adults, during a Sweet 16 private party/school event all alcohol must be removed from view or covered over, including beer fonts and the applicant must give at least fourteen days' notice prior to an event taking place where Children and Young Persons are to be permitted (excluding private functions) to the Licensing Board.

The Board, having heard from an objector, an agent on behalf of the applicant and the Board's Legal Adviser, agreed to grant the above variation to open until 2.00 am on Fridays and Saturdays, subject to imposition of the minimum charge condition, all litter and debris to be cleared up at the terminal hour outside the premises, an update report to the Board after six months of operation and completion of works to the gateway at Brochtie Court.

The Board, having heard from an officer from the Environment Department and the licensee on their own behalf, agreed to issue a written warning.

(a) REVIEW HEARING

The Board, having heard from an officer from the Environment Department and the licence holder on their own behalf, agreed to endorse the licence.

 

IV OCCASIONAL LICENCES

 

(i) REDD SUITE, 3 SESSION STREET

 

The Board, having heard from an objector, the applicant on their own behalf, an officer from the Environment Department and the Board's Legal Adviser, agreed to refuse applications for 14th February to 27th February, 2013 and 28th February to 13th March, 2013 and adjourn the application for 14th March to 27th March to the next meeting of this Board, where the applicant would have to supply evidence of hot water provision and supply an engineer's report in relation to sound proofing.

 

(ii) TOFF'S, 3 SESSION STREET

 

The Board, having heard from an objector, an agent on behalf of the applicant, an officer from the Environment Department and the Board's Legal Adviser, agreed to grant the application, subject to all staff being suitably trained, music to be inaudible in residential properties and all litter and debris to be cleared up at the terminal hour outside the premises.
