I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

 

No declarations of interest were made.

 

II TENDERS RECEIVED BY CITY ENGINEER - DEMOLITION OF MILL O MAINS COTTAGES AND GABLE WALLTREATMENTS

 

There was submitted Report No 337-2013 by the City Engineer detailing tenders received in respect of the above project.

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer from Gowrie Contracts in the sum of 73,390, together with the undernoted allowances:-

making a total expenditure of 94,390.

 

III ASSET MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

 

There was submitted Report No 363-2013 detailing the Housing Departments revised Asset Management Strategy.

 

The Committee approved the updated Asset Management Strategy.

 

IV CONSTRUCTION PROCUREMENT PERFORMANCE (HRA CAPITAL PROGRAMMES)

 

On a reference to Article XIV of the minute of meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee of 1st July, 2009 there was submitted Joint Report No 307-2013 by the City Architect and Director of Housing providing analysis of procurement performance for delivery of the HRA Capital Programme for the year 2012/2013.

 

The Committee noted performance on delivery under the procurement policy for the year 2012/2013.

 

V HOME ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMMES - AREA BASED SCHEMES

 

There was submitted Report No 364-2013 by the Director of Housing advising the Committee on the implementation of the new Home Energy Efficiency Programme for Scotland - Area Based Schemes (HEEPS-ABS) introduced by the Scottish Government within Dundee.

 

The Committee:-

 

(i) agreed the implementation of the HEEPS-ABS programme utilising the 1.935 million secured from the Scottish Government; and

 

(ii) remitted the Head of Democratic and Legal Services, in conjunction with the Director of Housing, to appoint an appropriate ECO (Energy Company Obligation) partner and a contractor to deliver the programme following the completion of the tender process.
