The minute of meeting of this Committee of 28th October, 2013 was held as read.

I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

There were no declarations of interest.

II PARENT REPRESENTATION ON THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE

There was submitted Agenda Note AN135-2013 where reference was made to Article II of the minute of meeting of this Committee held on 19th August, 2013, wherein a pupil representative and a parent member representing the primary sector were appointed to this Committee with the secondary representative to be nominated at the next regular meeting of the Secondary Parent Council Chairs.

A nomination had now been received and was noted below.

Mrs Clare Huxley - Harris Academy, Parent Council.

The nominee agreed to abide by the Code of Conduct in accordance with the Standards Commissions Guidance.

The Committee noted the appointment.

III INCLUSION PLUS UPDATE

There was submitted Report No 486-2013 by the Director of Education.

The Committee agreed to:-

(i) approve the use of revenue funding to extend the Inclusion Plus project until June, 2016; and

(ii) remit the Head of Democratic and Legal Services to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the providers on the continuation of the project post June, 2016.
